Hydro’s Group Compliance department is responsible for our compliance system and has a particular governance role for anti-corruption, data privacy and economic sanctions. We support the entire organization in successfully developing and running Hydro’s business and strategies in a responsible way, with high integrity, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and Hydro’s governing documents.

We experience a growing demand and seek to strengthen the Oslo team with a compliance professional with experience within data privacy.


You will work closely with the Head of Data Privacy to support in supervising the data privacy compliance in Hydro, globally.

This includes the implementation of Hydro’s binding corporate rules (BCR), conducting data privacy risk assessments and providing advice to the business on complex data privacy matters.

You may also conduct trainings and support the global Hydro organization on various compliance matters within anti-corruption and/or sanctions.

  • Law degree with strong academic qualifications. Other backgrounds can also be relevant 
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience working with data privacy laws, in particular the GDPR, preferably in complex organizations
  • Additional experience and/or interest for anti-corruption and/or sanctions will be considered positively
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Additional Norwegian or Portuguese language skills will be considered as an advantage
