Legal Counsel/Advokat

Legal (LEG) is the competence unit for all legal matters related to the Equinor group’s business areas and corporate activities and consist of legal experts, specialists, consultants, and qualified support personnel. The department has overall responsibility for advising on all legal matters and on ethics and anti-corruption compliance, undertaking Integrity Due Diligence research and acting as the Corporate Bodies’ secretariat within the Equinor group.

Job Description

We are looking for 2 experienced lawyers who will be responsible for providing legal support to Equinor, primarily cases relating to the business area Technology, Projects and Drilling (TPD) and mainly focusing on capital projects within renewables as well as oil and gas, in Norway and abroad.

This includes advising on structuring, drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of contracts typically involved in capital projects, as well as national and international legal frameworks for investment projects.

Responsible for engagement with partners, suppliers, relevant authorities, industry bodies and external counsel as required.

Dispute resolution/litigation.


  • Master’s degree in Law with strong academic record

  • 3-10 years of relevant fulltime work experience
  • Admission to the bar (advokatbevilling)
  • Fluency in English
