Legal (LEG) is the competence unit for all legal matters related to the Equinor group’s business areas and corporate activities and consists of legal experts, specialists, consultants and qualified support personnel. The department has overall responsibility for advising on all legal matters and on ethics and anti-corruption compliance and acting as the Corporate Bodies’ secretariat within the Equinor group.

Be part of the Legal division in Equinor, with more than 120 lawyers.

Cooperate with a highly skilled team of employment lawyers on a diverse portfolio.

Become a trusted advisor to Equinor's employee relations' function and contribute with strategic legal advice on various projects, both inside and outside Norway.

Be responsible for your own portfolio, with assignments ranging from day-to-day legal advice, to handling complex legal issues within a broad variety of areas, such as interpretation of tariff agreements, negotiations with unions, advising on working time regulations, pension, reward, reports of concern, sick leave, disciplinary cases and much more.

Follow-up with external lawyers that you have engaged to assist with handling administrative complaints and court cases.

Participate in multidisciplinary projects and working groups.

Continuously develop and enhance your professional employment law competence by engaging in internal and external networks.

For this position, we are also looking for:

An experienced employment lawyer with minimum 4 years’ experience from within either employer’s or employees’ organisations, law firms, in-house legal functions, or other relevant roles.

A Master of law or Cand. Jur. from a Norwegian university, with strong academic qualifications - please include copies of your education transcripts with your application.

Expertise and insight in collective labour law and negotiations with unions.

Experience from litigation and a license to practice as a lawyer is a plus.

Fluent in Norwegian, with a professional working level of English.

Excellent writing skills, as well as effective verbal communication and influencing skills.

Flexible and enjoy working with people on different levels in a large organization.

Able to prioritise, handle periods of high workload with short deadlines.

An analytical person, who has a curious disposition and a keenness to learn and solve problems.
