Responsibilities
Initially reporting to the CEO, you are expected to work proactively and efficiently to manage the legal risks in CV Partner. You’ll be expected to communicate effectively with clients, prospects, partners as well as colleagues.
Legal oversight
- Assess and manage the legal risks related to sales agreements, data processing agreements, employment agreements, supplier agreements, shareholder agreements, etc. in addition to local laws and regulations in all geographies we operate in
- Handle communication and collaboration with legal advisors in the Nordics, UK, Canada, and USA
- Collaborate with and assist our CISO on our compliance efforts, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications
- Advise and implement any relevant IPR-related measures
- Provide legal assessments and advice to the board of directors
- Responsible for sending and negotiating DPAs with current and new clients
- Serve as DPO or Privacy contact
Sales support
- Participate in Sales Meetings and contract negotiations with potential and existing clients
- Communicate with our existing and potential clients
- Handle and respond to comments, change requests, etc. during contract negotiations
- Coach and advise our sales team, customer success team, etc. on how to respond to legal and contractual questions
- Maintain and further develop our sales agreement templates and data processing agreement templates
HR and Finance support
- Maintain and further develop our employment agreement and NDA templates
- Assist and work closely with our HR and Finance team in any employment-related legal matters - in all countries we operate - Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the UK, and Canada
What we are looking for
- Master of Law or Cand. Jur.
- Experience from a leading law firm
- Experience with IT/software agreements and/or data processing agreements and data privacy laws
- A professional level of English, both spoken and written
- Experience with employment law and/or IPR is a bonus
