We're on the lookout for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to lead our compliance efforts and propel our organization to new heights. As we prepare for the forthcoming EU-wide MiCA regulations, we need someone with a keen understanding of AML and compliance practices, coupled with a structured approach and a drive to combat financial crime.
Job Summary
As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of K33’s compliance program. You will develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and regulatory requirements, especially focused on the MiCA regulation.

Design and implement policies and procedures to promote compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.

Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels of the organization to promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.

Establish monitoring and auditing processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Lead and oversee investigations into compliance violations or allegations of misconduct, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the Board of Directors on the company's compliance activities, including updates on compliance issues, risks, and remediation efforts.

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors, and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests for information.

Foster a culture of ethics and integrity throughout the organization by promoting compliance awareness and accountability at all levels.
What we look for

Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related field

Work experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field

Work experience in the crypto assets industry is a plus, but not required.

In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in the finance sector and preferably the emerging crypto assets industry.

Ability to develop and implement effective compliance programs.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and develop practical solutions.
