Schibsted is looking to recruit a legal counsel to the Group Legal Department in Oslo. The Group Legal Department provides legal advice to Schibsted ASA and its subsidiaries. We are seeking an engaged and accomplished lawyer with strong business acumen. The candidate should have at least 5 years working experience within business law, with focus on corporate law and contracts. The position will report to Head of Legal, Andreas Ehrenclou.

Key tasks

  • Provide legal advice to Schibsted ASA and its subsidiaries within a wide variety of areas
  • Assist in M&A projects and on other corporate matters
  • Participate in negotiations and drafting of agreements, including agreements with suppliers and other partners
  • Liaise legal work with internal legal resources within Schibsted, as well as with external legal advisors
  • Assess overall legal risks within Schibsted, and propose measures to reduce legal risks
  • Assist in compliance matters

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in law
  • Qualification to practice as an attorney in Norway (advokatbevilling)
  • Strong legal qualifications combined with business acumen
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within business law, with focus on corporate matters/M&A and contracts
  • Experience from the technology space is a plus
  • Strong project and time management skills including prioritizing workloads and manage multiple concurrent task
  • Ability to work independently as well as being an effective team player
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English
